Leasachadh air goireasan-baidhsagail na dùthcha

Gaelic Gàidhlig

[Iain MacIlleathain - Preseantair] Cuiridh Riaghaltas na h-Alba faisg air ceithir millean not air leasachadh air goireasan-baidhsagail na dùthcha. Thèid a’ chuid mhòr dheth – trì millean not - ri slighe-baidhsagail ùr nàiseanta eadar an Oban is Inbhir Nis. Tha dòchas gun cuir e gu mòr ri eaconomaidh na Gàidhealtachd agus gu h-àraidh ri turasachd. Tha Dòmhnall Moireasdan ag aithris.

[Dòmhnall Moireasdan – Neach-aithris] Bha uair a bhiodh ridirean gaisgeil a’ dol mun cuairt air mun-eich, ach ‘s ann a-nise air baidhsagalan a tha iad, eadar Sir Bradley Wiggins agus Sir Chris Hoy. Tha cho math ‘s a rinn luchd-baidhsagail na h-Alba aig na h-Oilimpeags a’ fàgail gu bheil barrachd fèill aig a’ mhòr-shluagh a tha seo air baidhsagalan na bha a-riamh. Ach tha fhathast barrachd iarraidh air goireasan airson baidhsagalan a chleachdadh bho gu là. As t-earrach a chaidh, bha iomairt aig Pàrlamaid na h-Alba ag iarraidh tuilleadh taic. An-diugh dh’ainmich an riaghaltas faisg air ceithir millean not airson goireasan-baidhsagail.

[Dòmhnall Moireasdan – Neach-aithris] Thèid ceann reamhar na maraig dhen cheithir millean not a chosg air slighe eadar an Òban agus Inbhir Nis. Tha bloighean de shlighe baidhsagail an-dràsta eadar an bhaile leithid an fhear-sa, dìreach air taobh a-muigh Baile Dhubhrais, beagan mhìltean a-mach à Inbhir Nis, ach thèid ceangal a dhèanamh eadar na slighean beaga sin an-dràsta, ‘s bidh slighe ùr nàiseanta eadar Earra-Ghàidheal ‘s ceann a tuath na Gàidhealtachd.

[Dòmhnall Moireasdan – Neach-aithris] Thèid ceithir cheud mìle not eile ri iomairt eile airson barrachd chloinne a bhrosnachadh baidhsagalan a thoirt dhan sgoil. Gu h-àraidh airson goireasan-pàircidh de bhaidhsagalan aig sgoiltean. Agus bidh leth a mhillean eile ann airson goireasan-baidhsagail aig stèiseanan rèile eadar Àrd Ruighe agus Bathgate. Development in the country's cycling facilities

English Beurla

[Iain MacLean - Preseantair] The Scottish Government will put four million pounds into developing cycling resources of the country. Most of it – three million pounds - will go to a new national cycle path between Oban and Inverness. The hope is that this will aid the Highland economy, especially with tourism. Donald Morrison reports.

[Donald Morrison – Neach-aithris] There was a time when heroic knights would travel on horseback, but they are now on bicycle, between Sir Bradley Wiggins and Sir Chris Hoy. The cyclists did so well at the Olympics that bicycles are more popular with people than they ever were. But there is still more need for facilities for bicycles for day-to-day use. Last spring, the Scottish Parliament venture wanted more help. Today, the government earmarked four million pounds for new resources.

[Donald Morrison – Neach-aithris] The bulk of the four million pounds will be spent on a cycle path between Oban and Inverness. There are scraps of a cycle path now between the two towns, like this one, just outside the town of Dores, a few miles outside of Inverness, but those small paths will be joined up now., and there will be a new path between Argyll and the north end of the Highlands.

[Donald Morrison – Neach-aithris] Four hundred thousand pounds will be spent on a venture to encourage children to take their bicycles to school. Especially for parking resources for bicycles at schools. And there will be another half a million pounds for cycling resources at rail stations between Airdrie and Bathgate. Donald Morrison. BBC An Là.
