[Andreas Wolff – Neach-aithris] Dh’ fhosgail taisbeanadh ailtireachd air a bheil Prospect North anns an Òban air an deireadh-sheachdain. Bha e roimhe seo aig Beinnale, ann an Venice. ‘S e seo a’ chiad uair a thèid a shealltainn san Rìoghachd Aonaichte.

Architecture exhibition in Oban
[Angela NicIlleathain – Reporter] Well another exhibition opened in Oban at the weekend which was first seen at a renowned showhouse in Venice. Prospect North and another exhibition about architecture can be seen at The Rockfield Centre. Andreas Wolff went there for us.
[Andreas Wolff – Reporter] An exhibition on architecture called Prospect North opened in Oban at the weekend. It was previously at the Beinnale, in Venice. This is the first time it will be shown in the United Kingdom.
[Rhona Dugall] It went to Venice, for Architecture Beinnale. It tells stories from different communities in Scotland and the relationship that exists between those communities and the buildings that are around them.
[Andreas Wolff – Reporter] As part of this exhibition there’s also a chance to look at a village in the Highlands from the past. And in another similar box you can view a new blackhouse, designed by architects from the Isle of Skye. And in the third box, there is a chance to see that village in the future.
[Andreas Wolff – Reporter] The Scottish Festival of Architecture 2016 is being held throughout this year. As part of the festival there will be events taking place in Oban too.
[Rhona Dugall] On Tuesday night Brigadier Iain MacFarlane will be giving a talk - Gaelic Castles of the Sound of Mull – a talk in English though. And there will be a writing workshop on Thursday night and there will be a choir and a singing workshop, on Friday night.
[Andreas Wolff – Reporter] And the plans to develop the former Rockfield Primary School are making progress.
[Rhona Dugall] We want to keep this room as an events room and we want to use it more often. That means we should get toilet facilities installed and also adhere to fire safety regulations and so on, so we are therefore currently seeking funding to enable us to do that.
[Andreas Wolff – Reporter] Throughout this week people will also have the chance to see the Best of the Best exhibition. It shows the award-winning architecture projects from the past five years. Andreas Wolff, BBC An Là.
